Open your quest journal, O by default, click on the main page, click on the magnus quest line, click on the triangle to auto path to where ever. IIRC if you are on the MoEW quest line Magnus will not start or be allowed to start. Do the Mountain of Eternal Winter quest line if the previous method did not work.

Either re run the main quest line, or opt to do the simplified main quest line (since your Ranger is the same level as your Kuno was you can just spam click through it) and you’ll have the same number of skill points. It’s a 1:1 copy of combat and skill exp.
