The low fuel indicator on every vehicle I've owned works more than adequately for my needs. On the Acadia it's the 2nd little 'tick' mark to the right of the letter 'E' on the gas gauge. the fiilling up/hard start issue is related to overfilling. Over time it causes issues with the valve. I believe there are 2 valves--- one is on top of the gas tank- the 2nd is close to the engine. Usually changing the one by the engine will correct the issue. Someone has pics of their valve replacement on here.1. Before you start, be sure you have enough room around the vehicle.
